Tayseer Khalid: Goldstone's report provides sufficient evidence to prosecute war criminals in Israel

Tayseer Khalid, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, called the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, which is cited today in the report by Judge Richard Goldstone on violations and crimes carried out by Israel in its aggression against Gaza Strip over three weeks late last year and early this year, to honor its responsibilities and present the report to the Security Council asking the Council to refer it to the International Criminal Court and seek indictments against Israeli officials, who have committed a series of violations up to the level of war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949.

He added that” the Human Rights Council of the United Nations in line with its responsibilities should show a sufficient degree of clarity in the position of the recommendation,” contained in the report, which calls on the UN Security Council to use its powers under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations in 1945 and to take Israel to the court and press charges against Israel because of its crimes , which killed more than 1450 martyrs and more than 4500 injured, more than a third of them women and children, which also destructed people's homes as well as the destruction of civilians and public and private institutions and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, institutions, schools, and Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which used by civilians as human shelters as well as the Israeli forces of aggression, which in itself sufficient to indictments for crimes against, humanity.

At the conclusion of his statement, Khalid called international, parties, Particularly the Obama administration not to politicize the report of Judge Richard Goldstone, who served in the past, the integrity and impartiality and efficiency of the responsibility of the Attorney General in the international courts, which took over the prosecution and trial of war criminals in Yugoslavia and Rwanda, and stressed at the same time PLO and all official Palestinian will to resist and firmly rejects all forms of Israeli blackmail and it will move steadily towards those responsible for war crimes, committed by Israeli forces in the aggression against the Gaza Strip, to international justice, from the site claimed responsibility for the lives of the Palestinian people.
