Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), Nayef Hawatmeh, has sent a letter to Huda Ghalia, the Palestinian child who lost her family on the beach of Gaza when Israeli forces shot a missile at the family and other picnickers on the beach.
In his letter Hawatmeh said that the crime shocked the whole world and made all hearts bleed because of the brutality of the crime. He said that the Palestinian children are prevented from being like other children of the world because they are being chased by the Israeli "wolves" which continue to kill and slaughter them. He added that the killing continues in refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
The letter added: "We have the right to live under the sun like the rest of the children of the world. The Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir used to say that she feels afraid for the future of Israel because there are Palestinian children being born every moment and she knew that Israel, which was built at the expense and on the ruins of the Palestinians, will be fought for by these Palestinian children who will fiercely resist the occupation".
"Three generations have entered the struggle against the Israelis and it still continues and it will never stop as Palestine, which the grandfathers were forced to leave by the Israeli forces, lives on in the memory of the children and the grandchildren".
"It is not only Huda. There are many others like Huda and her family: Iman Hijjo, Muhammad Durra, Faris Awdah, and others. The list is long and this list is witness to the Israeli brutality and atrocities".
Hawatmeh added: "We, the Palestinian people, inside and outside Palestine, and in the jails, feel with you, and support you. We are all behind you and behind all the children of Palestine who are suffering starvation because of the siege".
The letter also said that the Palestinian people will continue living until they liberate the land and build their state on the land of their fathers and grandfathers. He also said that the Palestinians in the Diaspora will return to their lands whether they receive Zionist acceptance or not. Hawatmeh asserted that Palestinians have vowed to continue their struggle and maintain the national rights. Hawatmeh concluded: "We are sure that the sun of freedom will rise and we are sure that the door is closing on the autumn of the occupation".
