The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) has affirmed that the youth assassinated by the Israeli special units in the town of Arraba, near Jenin, was one of its political leaders.
Mohammad Mustafa Al-Haj Ahmad was on his way with two of his comrades in a car when Israeli special units ambushed them at the town's entrance and killed Mustafa in cold blood. The soldiers then kidnapped Mohammad’s two comrades and led them to an undisclosed place.
"This deliberate Israeli crime proved the insistence of Sharon and his government on continuing the trend of aggression against our people and their resistance despite the announced adherence of the Palestinian factions to the calming down", DFLP statement said.
"The Sharon government will be held responsible over the fate of the missed comrades and we call on all international human rights institutions, including the Red Cross, to help locate and protect them" it added.
The Israeli forces cordoned off the crime scene preventing ambulances’ access to the wounded Palestinian who died later of his bleeding.
